It’s of course not an official commercial but what a great portfolio piece. It also reminds me of some sales advice I got from my Grandad (who was a great salesman), and that is tell the customer what’s wrong with something before they can tell you. He used to sell consumer electronics for Philips in Southampton and he had some particularly unattractively styled radios. When someone would ask what it was he’s say “Let me tell you, that ugly thing is probably one of the best radios i’ve ever heard”, sold.

That is a great spot and a fantastic piece of advice, it’s far better to come clean on this stuff.

Also, have you played it yet? It’s really an amazing system. I can’t get enough of Wii Tennis . . . I almost had to ice down my shoulder last night. :)

I don’t own one but luckily one of my friends does so I have got a few hours in on it. Certainly agree the tennis is great and gives your shoulder a workout, my arm was sore. I also enjoyed the bowling (got 5 strikes in a row and kicked my friends ass) and the golf.

[...] Noah also links to an entertaining fan-made commercial. I still prefer the official commercials. I love that they spend more time showing people playing the games than the games themselves, truly highlighting what makes the Wii great. Finally, the picture for this post comes from a NYTimes breakdown of the remote. It doesn’t really have that much information, but I figured I’d link to it anyway while I was at it. [...]
